Convert Lower Kitchen Cabinets To Drawers

The shelf becomes the bottom of the pull out drawer so all you need is wood for the sides of the drawer and drawer slides.
In this project we will be replacing existing lower cabinets with drawers. Start by taking off the doors and the divider. Convert a shelf into a cabinet pull out drawer. And then we spoke to sherry and john petersik the bloggers behind young house love only to find out that they have drawers.

These drawers are easy to build yourself with these step by step plans. The 2 1 2inch divider was simply held together with pocket screws two on the top and bottom each. I simply had to break the paint seal and they came off without any issue. As one of my customers put it it brings the contents of the cabinet to you instead of you having to go into the cabinet and scrounge around for them it s relatively easy to convert a cabinet from doors to drawers.

During the refacing process we convert lower cabinet doors and the paired drawers into a banks of three deep full extension cabinet drawer boxes. We remove the center stile between the double doors to create the larger space for the deep drawers. A cabinet door to drawer conversion is exactly what it sounds like.
