To clean grease off kitchen cabinets before you paint them we like to spray down all surfaces with krud kutter then scrub them really well.
One of the best ways to clean greasy kitchen cabinets made of wood is with baking soda and vegetable oil. The best degreaser for the kitchen may just be lemon. Lemon is an acid so it cuts through the organic grease and grime fast while leaving behind a fresh citrusy scent. The next steps is to pour equal amounts of white vinegar and water into a bucket and use the solution to clean off grease or grime buildup from kitchen cabinets.
Wipe the surface using some pressure in small circles moving from the top of the cabinet face down. Take the paste with a toothbrush and rub it with care on the area where the grease is located. Start by mixing 1 2 cup of baking soda with 1 4 cup of vegetable oil to form a paste. These brushes have soft medium and coarse bristles.
For the grooves that are harder to reach with my fingers i like to use an old toothbrush. Here s how to use it. Spray down upper cabinets with the vinegar and water solution or apply it generously with your rag. Let it sit for a couple of minutes.

I think it s easier to work it into all the nooks and crannies this way. First take a washcloth or paper towel and soak it in undiluted vinegar. Wipe down the greasy section on your cabinet and let the vinegar do its work for 10 or 15 minutes. Move to the next cabinet.
When your timer goes off loosen the grease by taking a damp sponge to the surface then take a water soaked washcloth and wipe down the buildup. Rinse and dry the cabinets when done. To make it a bit easier we use brushes that you can attach to a drill or impact driver. Dampen a clean dry cloth with undiluted white vinegar and wipe down greasy cabinets.
Mix a squirt or two of grease cutting dish soap into a bucket of very hot water as hot as you can stand and use a nylon scouring pad to attack cabinet grease. Remove grease with baking soda and lemon degreaser. Rinse your cloth with warm water wring out most of the moisture and use it to rinse the cabinetry.
